The Ruthenberg family has independently owned and operated the Michigan based company, Midwestern Sanitation, since 1968, when current owner and manager, Paul Ruthenberg’s great uncle first started hauling trash for the residents and businesses in Detroit and its rapidly expanding suburbs. Their business expanded, eventually servicing the Wayne communities of Allen Park, Westland, Canton Township, City of Taylor, City of Wayne, City of Dearborn, City of Flat Rock, Township of Grosse Ile City of Northville and Northville Township the late 1960s; with continued growth in operations continuing into 2013.
